Here is a shot of the trunk lid. We had to move the hinges inward to clear the tubs.
After 3 days of building prototype trunk hinges, we finally got the right
geometry to make them work after relocating them inboard so that the larg
tires would fit. Also, because the trunk springs were lost in the process,
we fabricated and adapted late model lift rams to to the deck lid so that it
would stay open by itself. The first pic is of the trunk open with the rams.
The second pic is of the tin support bars and rear safety loop that have
been installed. Thanks Richard great idea!
