PROSTREET SUPERBEE PHASE 10
Here the motor being sized up on the frame rails.
As you can see the firewall has been removed so that the motor could be
moved back for better weight distribution and there was also a clearance
problem with the oilpan. I decided to go with fuel injection on the
Hemi. It will make the car a lot more street friendly. I wish
this was the actual height of the bird catcher. But the fuel injection
unit will add even more height to it. I was hoping that the blower
would fit under a fiberglass hood that looks very similar to the 1969 440
6--Pak Superbee hood. I still have my fingers crossed! But
it doesn't look like it's going to work out that way.
Look ma no carbs!
Actually as I mentioned earlier I decided to go
with fuel injection and it hasn't come in yet. It will make the motor
a lot more street friendly.
Here the moter being measured up to the frame rails from
a side view. You can also see the beginning of the front strut suspension
being installed. The car looks like it's a long ways from being finished
but in all actually it is getting to the point were I need to send down
my billet aluminum steering column and start working on the interior components.
Such as seat placement and dashboard. I plan on having a custom made
dashboard that will the dashboard has a duel cockpit look to it.
It will have of course a full complement of Autometer white faced gauges.
The dashboard will be wrapped with cushioned leather. To match the
custom leather racing seats.
