SUPERBEE, SOON TO BE PRO STREET BEE

1970 Superbee at Speed World

This is the Superbee at Speedworld Motorplex in Whitman, Arizona.  The car ran a best of 13.50 at 101 mph, with slight modifications such as slicks and headers.  I found  that just wasn't fast enough.  I contacted Arlen Vanke who raced for Chrysler for many years, we decided to build a 500 ci. aluminum block, stage 6 aluminum headed monster motor with a full roller cam, milidon gear drive, and a full Barry Grant fuel system!   The chassis is being fitted with a rack and pinion steering with coil overs, a complete ladder bar backhalf with coil overs, 12 point cage, and a customized interior.  The reared is fitted with a Dana rear  with 4:88's, Mark Williams spool and axles, that is connected to Crager 15 x 14 Dragstars wrapped in 33 x 18.5-15 Mickey Thompson ET Street Tires.  With an estimated 800 streetable hp, and the car weighing 3500 lbs. should run mid-to-low 9's, at around 140-145.
